Xiangdang Xue obtained his B.Eng. degree from Hefei University of Technology, Hefei, China in 1984, his M.Eng. degree from Tianjin University, Tianjin, China in 1987, and his Ph.D. degree from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Hong Kong in 2004, all in electrical engineering. Dr. Xue engaged in teaching and research in Department of Electrical Engineering, Tianjin University, China, from 1987 to 2001, as a lecturer and an associate professor. He is currently with Department of Electrical Engineering, the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, as a research fellow. Dr. Xue’s research interests are in the areas of electrical machines, electrical drives, power electronics, and energy storage systems. He has published over 100 papers and is the holder of four USA patents and three China patents.
H.F. Ho, James received the B. Eng. and Ph.D. degrees from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He is currently a Research Fellow with the Power Electronics Research Centre, Department of Electrical Engineering, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. His research interests include intelligent control, adaptive control, robust control and power converter control.
Yulong Fan is a research assistant in the department of Electrical Engineering, the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He received his bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering, and master degree in Control Engineering in Shenzhen university. He is currently working on the UI design of the super-capacity/battery management system. He also focused on Direct-driven and precision motion control. Chi-Pang Chan is a Research Associate in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He received his Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering and Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University in 2011 and 2013 respectively. He is currently working on the development of softwares, which including monitoring system, control system, communication system, payment system, and user interface in C, C++. Yu Zou is a Research Assistant in the Power Electronic Research Center of Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He received bachelor degree in Electronic Information Engineering at Hubei University in 2010 and Master degree in Control Sciences and Engineering at Shenzhen University in 2013, respectively. After then, he entered PolyU as a research assistant. He is currently working on the Design and Control of Electric Machines, Electromagnetic simulations and High Frequency Electromagnetic Shielding analysis. He is good at designing and controlling linear switched reluctance machines and their applications.
