PESA Conference
The 4th International Conference on Power Electronics Systems and Applications will be held on 8 – 10 June, 2011, Hong Kong. This year, the conference theme is Charging System and Energy Storage. This three-day conference aims to be a key international forum for the exchange and dissemination of technical knowledge, creative ideas and applications, recent research findings, and keep informed on current industrial projects among academics and practicing engineers.
The coming conference features technical presentations and panel discussion sessions. The technical presentations will be presented by eminent academics, engineers and managers from around the world and will cover topics of current interest in the area of automotive engineering, alternative energy source, charging technology, circuits and circuit topologies of EV charger, smart grid and charging, energy storage systems, and related fundamentals and materials in relation to battery development and EMI/EMC issues. The panel discussion session will provide an open forum for exchanging ideas on Future Charger and Standard.
The conference is supported by a number of electric vehicle, environment and energy related organizations and industries. Renowned industrialists and researchers will give keynote speeches in the Conference. Selected papers will be published in the Asian Power Electronics Journal.

Conference Venue
The three-day session will be held in Hong Kong and Shenzhen, China. Shenzhen is situated immediately north of Hong Kong; it is known as one of the fastest growing cities in the world. Many electrical products, toys, and garment are manufactured in that region. Since the 70’s, foreign nationals have invested more than USD 30 billion for building factories and forming joint ventures. The conference targets at technical dissemination as well as industrial networking.
Free transportation will be provided to transfer between conference locations. The conference will include keynote speech, networking event, discussion forum, as well as key laboratory visits and on-site factory tours. Below is a brief overview of the program.

Phase 1 - Abstract Submission
Kindly send in your Abstract for our editorial review before proceeding to Full Paper Submission.
- Only on-line submission will be accepted.
- The abstract should be no more than 300 words, briefly state the aim, methods and results and be limited to a single paragraph.
- Deadline for Abstract Submission is on or before
15 January, 2011 14 February, 2011.
- Our Conference Secretariat will inform the Author(s) of the Abstract status no later than 28 February, 2011.
- To ensure effective communication, please check thoroughly your contact details in the Abstract Submission Form.

Phase 2 – Full Paper Submission
The paper is in double column and is similar to most IET or IEEE journal format. The conference paper guidelines can be downloaded which will provide basic instructions for preparing paper for the Conference Proceedings.
- Only on-line submission will be accepted.
- The presentation papers should strictly follow our paper format as outline in the paper guidelines.
- Once we have received the manuscript, we assume that the corresponding author(s) grant us the copyright to use the manuscript for the conference proceedings.
- There is no paper limit but please try to keep within 6 pages.
- Our required software format is Microsoft Word®. This will allow us to make minor typeset modifications if necessary by our editorial team.
- The due date for full paper submission is 15 April, 2011. This date should be strictly observed to avoid disappointment.
